There is something special about this place. I have been here, in the morning and the evening, and it’s a place everyone wants to see. I started off sitting just below the viewing platform, trying to hide from the constantly changing crowd that came and went above me.
It was windy when I made my first attempt at this painting. At one point, I was caught off guard, my easel blew over, and my brushes were everywhere. I thought this painting was sure to be a loss, and at the last second, I decided not to wipe it off. I made this painting in the studio using the color from the unfinished field attempt and some photos I took. Now, everyone will want to see this painting, Moran Point Lookout.
7″x 5″ Oil Painting, Gesso on hardboard.
