Valhalla Light
North of Big Timber, Montana is a place called “Valhalla”. For over 100 years, the Van Cleave family has owned this property. After a devastating fire, I had the opportunity to stay there and help rebuild the cabins. I also found the time to paint and photograph the surrounding landscape. Located at the base of the Crazy Mountains there’s no shortage of scenery, deer and elk. This painting represents the rebirth of a burned wilderness where the wildlife now returns.
